Why a small firm

Most of what goes wrong on a technology contract goes wrong after the award.

The team that wrote the proposal moves to the next capture. The senior architect who impressed you at the orals never bills an hour. What arrives is a rotating bench of people learning your system on your budget, and by the time anyone notices, the schedule has already absorbed it.

We are built the other way around. Robles Industries stays small on purpose. Every engagement is led by the principal who scoped it, the people you meet are the people who do the work, and we say no to work we cannot staff with people we would put in front of a contracting officer.

That limits how much we can take on in a year. It also means the institutional knowledge of your system does not walk out the door when someone gets reassigned.

How we work

Core competencies

Four things, done properly.

Each maps to a NAICS code we are registered and small under. If your requirement sits outside these, we will tell you, and where we can we will point you at someone who does it well.

  • 01 / NAICS 541511

    Custom software

Applications built to a written specification and handed over with the source, the deployment pipeline, and documentation good enough that someone else could take it from us.

  • 02 / NAICS 541512

    Systems design and integration

Architecture for systems that have to talk to equipment, records, and agencies that were never designed to talk to each other. Assessment, design, migration, and the integration work in between.

  • 03 / NAICS 541519

    Security engineering

Security built into the system while it is being designed, not bolted on before an assessment. Threat modeling, access control, logging that will satisfy an auditor, and incident response.

  • 04 / NAICS 518210

    Cloud and infrastructure

Infrastructure as code, migration off hardware that is past its life, and operations that a two-person team can actually run. Multi-cloud where it earns its keep, single-cloud where it does not.

Full capability detail

Federal market

We are set up to be easy to buy from.

Robles Industries is registered and active in SAM.gov, small under our primary NAICS, and available as a prime on open market and simplified acquisition work or as a subcontractor to a prime that needs the technical depth. Our capability statement is a direct download with no form in front of it, because that is how a contracting officer doing market research wants to find it.

One thing we will not do is claim a certification we do not hold. We are a small business, self-certified in SAM. We hold no 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or WOSB certification. If your requirement is set aside under one of those, we are the wrong prime, and we would rather say so on the first call than on the debrief.

  • Prime on open market and simplified acquisition requirements
  • Subcontract and teaming with primes needing IT depth
  • Sources sought and RFI responses, turned around in days
  • Capability statement tailored to your agency on request
